The Pietro Maugeri Foundation
"Have a good journey and be always happy - Sempre Allegro"
ABOUT US

The Pietro Maugeri Foundation was created in memory of Pietro Maugeri, a long time resident
of Bergen County New Jersey, who died of Esophageal Cancer in March 2004.  The
Foundation was inspired not only by the overwhelming support received from so many during
and after his illness, but also from Pietro’s spirit of giving.  His family wishes to continue that
legacy by providing a resource for the community, from which they received so much support,
to directly help others afflicted by cancer.

It is the hope of his family that this foundation will be a lasting resource for those in need and a
constant reminder to us all of Pietro’s love for life and continuous advice to be
ALWAYS HAPPY-“SEMPRE ALLEGRO”.

Please contact us if you wish to nominate an individual or family in need of assistance. All
requests will be reviewed and decided by a selection committee based on pre-defined criteria.

Members and relatives of the Foundation’s Board of Directors are not eligible.
There are no paid employees and 100% of all donations received minus expenses are given
to those in need.
